Features and Benefits of Building-Integrated Solar Collectors
Choosing solar thermal no longer requires ignoring aesthetic considerations to save both dollars and greenhouse gas
emissions on domestic hot water heating. Building-integrated collectors are designed with strong aluminum box sections with
attractive frames that are installed flush and angled square with the roof.

The Newest Evolution of Solar Thermal
Solar tanks for the new building-integrated solar thermal systems are manufactured with advanced European technology, but
are made to be compatible with North American plumbing. Attractive, upright-standing, stainless steel storage tanks come in
many different sizes. These tanks save space by acting as both the solar storage and auxiliary hot water tank.
All components of a solar thermal syster, except for the collectors, are built into the tank's casing.
The tank's front cover offers easy access for servicing and commissioning of the solar thermal system.
The cover's sandwich construction design is built with recycled polystyrene and all insulation is 100% CFC-free polyurethane.
Heat losses are less than 1W/ degree Celcius (100 litre). Tanks are availalbe with a single heat exchanger and
an optional 3kW electrical element, or with a second heat exchanger that works with a fuel burning boiler.
